Welcome to First Grade! My name is Mrs. Jones and this is my third year at Mohawk Elementary School. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University and currently live in Findlay with my husband and our two dogs, Ellie and Archie. Even though this school year will be unlike any other, I can assure you that school will still be FUN, educational, and a place for them to thrive.

The first few weeks will focus a lot of attention on online learning and prepping them for the possibility that we need to go remote. They will be accustomed to logging onto different platforms and should know what to do if the situation would happen to arise.

I have created a Google Classroom using my Bitmoji where links to different platforms and activities will be active. They can use this to do additional practice at home. This will also be where I will post all of my material if we go remote. More information on this will come home within the first couple weeks of school.

Our main form of communication will be the remind app. Information on how to join will be sent home the first day of school. You can also reach me through e-mail, [email protected].. During the week, you can expect a prompt reply to your e-mails/messages from 7am-4pm. Any messages sent outside of this time frame might require a bit longer for a response.

Due to the nature of this school year, things such as toys from home, treats and prizes (including birthdays and holiday parties) cannot be brought into school. We will still make sure your child feels celebrated on their special day without the use of treats. :)
